AANHCP Natural Hoof Care Training Camp
The AANHCP, founded by barefoot movement pioneer, Jaime Jackson, is the original source for humane, natural hoof care training. Students attending the AANHCP's NHC training & certification program will master the 'natural trim' using the wild horse hoof as its model through a series of reading and viewing materials, studies, and lectures by Jaime Jackson. A small student to instructor ratio in the daily trimming workshops and field practicum encourages comprehension and retention. Hands-on trimming of cadaver hooves, demonstrations and daily quizzes during the preliminary training camp prepare students for the following series of in-the-field-mentorships before taking their final exams. Following completion of the training & certification program, the AANHCP provides ongoing peer support to its members.
March 22 through April 3, 2010 and June 7 through June 19, 2010.

Equine Muscle Release Therapy Course
EMRT Practitioners course Module 1.
This is the first of 3 modules over a 2 year period to become a Certified EMRT Practitioner.EMRT has been developed from the Bowen technique specifically for horses, using 20 years of research with vets and is Internationally practised.EMRT™ is a very dynamic technique which signals the brain to initiate the healing process. These signals are sent via specialized nerve cells found in the fascia or covering of the muscle. By applying the moves over the muscles in specific areas in a sequence, the body receives the message to take the spasm out of that muscle. This gives the body a chance to achieve balance that promotes well-being of the whole horse. EMRT™ is not a replacement for Veterinary advice.
The course is open to Canada and the US, accomadations available on site.
