Equine Body Worker Certification Course

Animal Reiki Level One workshop
Through lecture, enlightening discussion, exercises and practie, you will be led through the basic steps. Students will experience Reiki energy and learn different ways that Reiki can be used as a healing tool for both humans and animals. Upon completion of the two-day course you will be able to do a Reiki self treatment, hands on healing for friends and family and be able to offer Reiki to your own animal companion(s), other animals and even wild animals.

Animal Reiki Level II workshop
This class is for people that have completed Level I Reiki. (See above) In this class you will continue on your healing path with Reiki and continue your work with animals. The focus of this class is on more advanced meditations and Reiki practices. This course is unique because we focus on both humans and animals.
Day 1 Participants will receive the three level II attunements and will be taught three Reiki symbols and their mantras. Building on what was learned in Level I, students will learn more exercises to help increase the flow and level of energy in themselves. We will practice group energy healing, long distance healing and much more. Students receive the level II manual.
Day 2 Students will learn how to offer long distance Reiki to animals as well as continue their practice and experience with in-person Reiki with animals. Level II students will develop their intuition when working with Reiki. Upon completion of day two students will receive the Level II Reiki practitioner certificate.

Equine Body Worker Cert. Course - Extend
This 12-day extended 100+ hour course (actual course contact hours and independent evening and off days assigned study; a total of 250+hours with the required post course field work and pre-course study), is taught by the international instructor Debranne Pattillo, MEBW. It is perfect for those who would like to learn at a more casual rate or for those who haven't taken any type of educational programs in a while.
The course is designed for the horse owner, farm manager, trainer, competitor, groom and especially those pursuing a career in the field of equine massage and bodywork. Fieldwork is required in all of Equinology’s courses to ensure that the students have learned the material and will be able to apply knowledge with confidence as he or she performs an equine massage as a professional. Equinology’s staff will be able to answer questions for the students should they arise.

Anatomy Discovery Workshop
Using bones, models, visuals, books, hand-outs, reference material and live horses, Debranne Pattillo, MEBW and president and founder of Equinology Inc®, will lead and direct the group. Students will work in teams of two, building the muscles on the Equiken® models at a comfortable pace, researching each muscle as the building progresses. Students become very familiar with various published books, publications and internet resources during the course, thus enabling them to research anatomy better. This nine-day course is taught in increments in a study group format with a hands-on approach. The first of the three increments will span three days. You will have a day off for independent study returning for two days for the middle increment. After one more day off you will finish with another 2 days.

Biomechanics, Anatomy & Gait Problems
Learn to recognize irregularities and gait abnormalities. Live and filmed horses, some with diagnosed problems, will be presented for inspection. Ever wondered what your vet is looking for? Now you can hear the doctor think and explain out loud. Understanding gait diagramming and where the limbs are placed throughout individual gaits enables you to visualize which joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles are utilized for the movements.
This course is presented by Dr. Hilary Clayton, specialist in equine biomechanics and lameness and author of The Dynamic Horse. This 4-day course offered through a classroom and hands-on approach. These topics are important for anyone in the equine field to truly understand the horse.
